REQUIREMENT REQUIREMENT

ADVANCE AIR CUP LIFT SYSTEM is applicable for most aftermarket coilover brands. Before ordering, please check the following steps for the basic requirements of fitment.
STEP 1 Checking Springs

The Air Cups can be installed on both Linear springs and Progressive springs. For installation, the spring end must be flat.
Please consult with us if your spring type is hard for definition.

STEP 2 Measuring

Please refer to the illustrations and a caliper is recommended for precise measurement, to choose the corresponding size of Air Cup.
◆ Outer diameter of the shaft
◆ Outer diameter of the spring
◆ Inner diameter of the spring

REMINDER:
Specifications of Linear springs and Progressive springs are different. Measure the diameter of the thickest part on the piston rod to ensure you have the correct size for installation.

STEP 3 Pre-Inspection Before Installation

The lifting height of the Air Cup comes from the preload of the shock absorber.
If the preload is not enough, the Air Cup will not be able to lift completely.

Please ensure that the Air Cups won’t touch the top mount or the car body in any way for enough clearance. It will cause the Air Cups to spin and damage the hoses meanwhile the Air Cups. Check the clearance when the car lays on the ground, not from jack up.

Reserved height
The thickness of the Air Cup is 25 mm.
Please ensure the spaces reserved have 25mm at least between the bottom spring seat (lock) and the lower mount lock. Otherwise, please consider shorter springs for installation.

Air Cup Assembly

  • Remove the Top Mount from a complete coil-over, then remove the Upper Spring Seat.
  • Take out the Rubber Gasket which placed under the Upper Spring Seat and put it inside of the Air Cup.
  • Unwind the Bottom Spring Seat and Seat Lock letting the spring move downward.
  • Spin the Air Cup clockwise downward from the top thread of the piston rod
ATTENTION: Do NOT push the Air Cup straight down directly! The seal of Air Cup will be damaged by inappropriate installation.
  • Once the top thread completely appears outside the Air Cup, then push the Air Cup down to ensure it is placed well on the piston rod.
  • Place back the Top Mount to its place (on top of the Air Cup)
  • Lastly, push the spring coil upward, then screw and tighten the Bottom Spring Seat & Seat Lock.
